How far is it from San Felipe to Guerrero Negro ? We would like to go see the whales the the first week of April. Are there still alot of whales in April?

I highly recommend you contact Nomad Shari who is quite the whale expert. She has been our guide on two trips and really knows her stuff.

Shari can set up the motel, boats and meals, all in one package and her educational insights make for an outstanding trip.

We will be taking our grandkids on a whale watching trip to Guerrero Negro next year and will book with Shari again!!!!

I think the whales leave by next weekend. Check with Shari.

whew...just back tonight from a couple whale snogging adventures at Ojo de Liebre...most of the mom's & calves are gone out of the inner lagoon by the end of March...but there are still whales hanging around the mouth of the lagoon where the trips from town go like Mario's...some making their way north stop over... so I suggest you go there so late in the season...pics and trip report coming maybe tomorrow....it was magic!

Say hola to this frisky calf if you see him...by the way, I have another trip on March 17-18 if anyone else wants to get in on the fun before the whales start their journey north.
