Yes! Friday November 5th my pops, who first traveled to Baja in 1931, celebrated his 80th birthday in Baja. We took him golfing at Bajamar in the
morning and then we took him to dinner. While we were headed there from our Casa By the Sea a few clicks north we stopped to watch the sunset and
witnessed a green flash!
He thought we were meeting my sister and uncle at La Fonda and when he walked in there were 56 family members and friends from all over to greet him.
The mariachis broke into Volver (his favorite) as he entered. He was surprised big time. It was a great party and it continued well into the night
over at the Pyramid Resort where everyone was staying. I am very fortunate that I still got the old man around and it was a great three days in Baja.

Elgatoloco, It really is great. We had an 89th birthday party for my Dad this year and he, too, was totally surprised. It's good to catch someone
unaware who has pretty much seen and done it all. Many more to him, and us all.
Mexitron, That avatar is gorgeous. Where did you find it? If it's not a secret.
Great news Matt

When Carols Dad turned 75, we took them to Puerto Nuevo. I asked the waiters downstairs if they could get him a cake with a candle and they said
sure.
So, after dinner they come up with a little slice of flan with a candle in it.
And then grabbed him around the neck, poured a shot of tequila down his throat, put a bucket over his head and started beating on it with a wooden
spoon.
Now this sort of behaviour is pretty popular with many of the kids in the bars but to see this happening to a 75 year old pretty much left us
speechless!
But, he was a trooper. He let em do it again so I could take a picture after we regained our composure
