Compress the butt numbing ordeal to about 9 minutes.

Very cool, missed sites south from El Rosario... I guess it was too dark to record after minute 2:44? Guerrero Negro is where it seems to picks up again, yes? Good music pick for that! :bounce: Bikini girl and hitting the navigator were funny inserts!

What was your FPS?

Did you build in camera or use Photoshow Producer?

Curt63 - 3-25-2013 at 07:31 PM

That was cool!

I just picked it up on You tube, and thought it was cool too. Doesn't a GoPro have a time lapse setting?

I did a time lapse setting up camp last year using an app called Lapse It Pro on my Android Phone. Well worth the $2.00 price, BTW.

Lots of options on when to take a photo, photo quality, etc. And then an option on what frame rate you want.

I think I used 1 shot every 30 seconds. A replay rate of 5 frames a second and 10 frames a second was an adequate replay. At 30 fps it reduced our almost 2 hour set up to just 6 seconds (too fast), at 5 fps it's 40 seconds, and at 10 fps it's 20 seconds.

For a long road trip like they did I think a picture every 1 to 2 minutes would be plenty, and replay it at 10 frames per second. Of course, the phone would have to be plugged in, or the battery would likely die around El Rosario.

I may have to try this on my next Baja trip.

Taco de Baja,

Thanks for the tip on that App. I think I'm gonna have to git me one of those.

Am watching this video way too much! Trying to justify my next trip down thru your great perspective. Please keeping up the standard. What cam and mount did you use?

Too long a video on driving that made me car and motion sick. More video on surfing. Fun seeing the road at this speed.
