San Felipe rental?

John M - 3-28-2013 at 12:53 PM

We would like to plan a two week stay in or near San Felipe from mid to late June. Anyone have recommendations? On or within sight of the beach preferrable.

Call El Dorado Ranch..........lots of empty houses and condos there.

Nice place at Playa Del Oro

My friend Ray Lopez has a place to rent in a gated development just north of town. I've stayed there. Close to the beach.

He's at rlascape@aol.com.

Good Luck!

McFez - too noisy for our old ears looks like, plus see the next post.

NeilM - I've sent him an email

Willardguy - saw those sites but would prefer some Nomad input - you know, just trust me!

Keep ideas flowing, almost maggie time here in the high desert and you never know what that leads to.....

Confirm with any rental in the ED that it is on the power grid.

As it appears to be turning out, most of the rentals in SF look like they are directed toward groups of 6 or 8 or more and the size/cost reflects that. So while $150 per night for two or three couples is pretty darned reasonable, for two people for 10+ nights isn't within our range.

We have looked at all the suggestions so far, sent emails to several - called a couple of them, and are now waiting for replies from the others.

John........have you looked at motels/hotels in the area for your stay??

considered it Bajaguy

we also thought of simply taking our small trailer but wanted to upgrade our stay just a bit. The motel/hotel thought was kinda dismissed when we figure we would have to eat most meals out for a couple of weeks.

Nothing ruled out at this early planning.

Not sure what tires you have on the Tacoma now... but 15psi is a good starting point for Shell Island sand but if BFG All Terrain TAs then 10psi due to the stiff sidewall.

How are you liking them? What load range (sidewall ply)?
