We all know Cabo has many restaurants for all the tourists to enjoy, but about any local restaurants and hidden gems? My cousin is going on her first
trip to Cabo and they'd like to experience one of these restaurants.

Depends on financial restrictions. On the Marina Hi$ Alesanders Low Tiki Bar. Guido's by Dairy Queen. Puerta Vieja for view, Salvatores for great
food.

El Burro Loco for true local flavor. Mocambo for seafood. Gardenias for fish tacos. Michoacan for carnitas.

Los Claros on Zaragoza. There are several locations but our favorite is on Zaragoza which is the down street in front of Supermecardo Aramburo...walk
up three blocks.

Ferret out where the mercado municipal is (taxi driver), they have comedores and loncherias there. Genuine Mexican food. Not slop drowning in melted
manchego cheese.
Ask a waiter at a hoity-toity restaurant what he eats. They would rather gag than swallow tourist restaurant fare. One of the worst burgers I have
ever suffered through was a invitation to a 10 dollar San Lucas burger back in he 90's. A Beeg Mack would have been better. Fellow diners were raving
"How Good The Food Was". Reminds me of the time the first McDonalds opened in Tecate. The line stretched TWICE around the block. The look of horror in
my eyes must have been quite similar to what Mexicans experience when they see foreigners lined up for the same type of gastronomical Armageddon in
San Lucas.
Good chilies rellenos trumps bad "Costillas al carbon", or "Prime Reeb", every time IMHO. At 20% of the price.
Eat where Mexicans eat.

Pollo de Oro on the street with a stoplight that goes up....great chicken, ribs, mole, and tortilla soup. (Afternoons or breakfast)
Also Tacos Paisa...it's in the same general area, maybe on Leona Vicario...the place jumps around. We always like the papas, generally give you
frijolitos, cebollas, and tortillas with these...tacos o mulitas are good too! (Dinners)
Best place in Cabo is up in our neighborhood 4 de Marzo...it's in the senora's front yard...but they have the best sopes and rolled tacos! (Dinners)
All of these places are in Cabo San Lucas...

Los Claros (Best fish/shrimp tacos across from El Arco-less grease), Popular Mercado (by the bus stop by the Deligation), Los Michocanos (2 por uno
Wed), Campestre.
Dinner
Alcaravea (Awesome Italian), Salvatores (Shank), La Palapa (behind Squid Row real Mex), Puerta Vieja (view and food),
We have given up on the "gauntlet" from Ole Ole to Nowhere Bar.
BTW a friend had us try the New Chinese Rest next to the DHL and was better than the rest here. Sometimes you just get to "Joansin" for Chinese.

Nobody mentioned Mike's Roadhouse aka Latitude 22?! Used to be downtown in the early Nineties and relocated next to Costco! Great food in Nautical
funky setting w/ great view. Still love the place--Eggs Croation (Benedict). Great prices, too!
