Now that I've got a handle on how to make Photoshop do what I want, here's an easy one.

Just off the rode to San Jose de Magdalena?

How about a hint Perry?
I think
Frigatebird - 11-8-2004 at 01:33 PM
I've seen this exposed granite creekbed from Mex 1, but can't remember where. The creek was running to the west or southwest though.

Frigatebird...you've got the direction wired! That IS HWY 1 in the background.
This is a dead giveaway...there is an air field nearby.
David K - 11-9-2004 at 12:29 AM
I will throw out a wild guess: Santa Rita (where the highway curves for the first time, going south of Constitucion)?
Cardon - 11-9-2004 at 11:17 AM
Near Rosarito a few miles before you get to the Tomatal turnoff.
elgatoloco - 11-9-2004 at 11:34 AM
Cardon
That's BCN territory
vgabndo - 11-10-2004 at 10:41 PM
Whoa, sorry guys. I threw in a BIG misdirection. It IS in the North State!!
Cardon...You are the winner in spite of my big lie. You knew all along didn't you Matt?

That's some contest Perry! Anyway... What airfield is nearby?
vgabndo - 11-11-2004 at 09:53 PM
Yeah, bad contest. Nice place.
David K - 11-12-2004 at 03:22 PM
Thanks Perry, that's a neat map. Please show or post the front cover info...
That airplane symbol should be on the north side of Rosarito where there is/was a 2,000 ft. east/west strip*, west of the highway and north of the
arroyo and big westward curve in the highway.
