Very nice... Thanks! Tom was a Baja amigo and responsible for a lot of my early Baja writing and Subaru driving!

Just a couple of tech corrections to that nice article:
The onyx was from El Marmolito, a different mine over 100 miles south of El Marmol.
The president opened the highway at the Eagle Monument, but that was not where construction crews met going north and south. That was at San Ignacito a few miles south of Catavina/ Santa Ynez.

Flew into the Little Strip at Cabo Pulmo one day in about 1972 an met Tom Miller and his Wife who were living in a small Palapa next to the Beach. Great folks.

As I recall, thier Cabo Pulmo palapa was badly damaged by Hurricane Kathlene (sp?) in 1976... ?
