Cola de ballena tequila in La Paz?

rufflife - 4-8-2013 at 07:40 PM

Greetings!

I am going to be in La Paz in a couple of days and have a friend who asked me to pick up something for her during my travels. My friend had seen a bottle of tequila, in the shape of a whale's tail. I did a little research and found out that Cola de Ballena is the name of this tequila. My question - Does anyone know if/where I can find a bottle of this tequila (in the whale tail bottle!) in La Paz?

Many thanks in advance!

Looks expensive. I'll have some.

Appears to be two different tails/bottles...magna and extra, wonder what it costs?

If it is the same as was at the Art Festival in Los Barriles, the small tail is $100.

I am sure it is expensive... Since my friend is willing to pay for it, I am not so worried about that. I am more concerned about finding this bottle in La Paz.

OOPS
I just looked at this and this is not the same as what I saw. The one I saw was silver or pewter.

Check the Chedraui store on Abasolo.
You'll find the boxes on the shelves, but the high end tequila is locked up, the clerk has to get it for you.
I think I saw it there last month.
