Today the show visited the Vizcaino Preserve with Pachico Eco Tours for some whale and dolphin watching, and visited the Punta Abreejos cooperativo and examined the abalone farming and discussed how the cooperativos work to prevent poaching and overfishing.

Nice show, well-written and narrated, and the pictures were spectacular!

We recorded this show and finally saw it last night. Really impressed with their coop. They have self imposed rules to maintain the lagoon and the fish/shelfish population. They also limit the number of boats in the lagoon at any one time and where they can go.

We've been to Guerrero Negro twice but now want to go to San Ignacio.

The panga's gill nets, the hooka's/nets, those are just the local guys. Now! Bring on the purse nets and the long line guys. The shrimpers? Rules? :?:

They make their own.
