Doing 1500 miles in Indian Country (Virgin River and Toroweap first segement)

JohnMcfrog - 5-12-2013 at 05:41 PM

Looked at the odometer and we had carded 1500 miles. Visited Virgin River, Toroweap, Kadachrome State Park, Hole in the Rock, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Valley of Fire. The slide show ( after my experiment with time lapse) shows the first two. Thanks to Bob Hargrove, Jerry, John, Carl and Bill for a great week. These guys have all mountain biked with me and they are fun to be around. They accept me as a member of the Frick and Frack screwup team and we are proud!

This the Virgin River and Toroweap segment:

That was great Juanito. Looks like a good bunch of guys to explore with. Now where is the rest of the trip?

Time lapse is great affect. How many hours did it actually take to go the 100 miles?

JohnMcfrog - 5-12-2013 at 08:15 PM

Probably took about 4 hours. John (the other John) had a seal go out and we stayed at Virgin River ($4 a night) to wait for him to get his axle replaced at the Ford dealership in Barstow. Nice people. I am running the gopro at 1 picture every 5 seconds, just like Josh Blaylock had recommended on his time lapse to Abreojos.
Had been to Toroweap before and was so encouraged that the forest service had people watching over our heritage.

The time lapse are a little painful. Will post my favorite trip (Hole in the Rock) as I get it ready for prime time.
