Hey Ya'll
I've been digging through the internet for cell info but I'm sure I'll find out a lot more up to date info here. I'm gradually starting to work my
way into living in Ensenada at least half the year as I get the good old social security check next year on my 62nd birthday. I decided to stay in
Ensenada instead of going down to Baja sur because I still have some business things going on in the states for the next few years. I'll be making
and receiving calls from the states and would like to know what's the most efficient way of going about this. Best place to buy a Mexican cell phone
and the most affordable plan to get. Those types of things. Any guidance as usual is greatly appreciated.

If you have internet, the best way to get and make calls to the US is to get a MagicJack Plus. You can transport your current US number to MJ.
PS Welcome to Ensenada. What area are you living in???
We use Movistar pay as you go cell service for local calls

bajaguy thanks for the info. I haven't got a place yet but will probably just rent for awhile in the Punta Banda area. I've been coming down since
the 1970's and really love it. The stress melts away for me as soon as I cross the border and I've always been told the key to a long life is to
remove as much stress as possible.

The MJ+ will work fine with the available internet service in Punta Banda. One advantage of MJ+ is that you can take it with you when you travel, so
you always have your "home" phone number with you, and you can set it to go to a voicemail at your e-mail address.
