The Piano Museum in El Triunfo

BajaBlanca - 5-16-2013 at 09:28 PM

Not too long ago, someone posted a picture of themselves playing the piano at the museum, so when we were driving by it, i asked for a visit....it is just incredible that such a collection exists

There was a gentleman playing, very friendly, who told us he was a German American named Christian and that he was hired at age 72 to play at the museum, since the last pianist passed away.

We heard him play and asked him how long he had been playing. He said he had learned piano as a child but hadn't played til NOW. Talented beyond a shadow od a doubt because his playing was exquisite.

What a jewel of a museum.

Yes it is a fine collection. Open most days of the week but Monday. here is a picture from the 80 year old Maestro Nicolas Carrillo Castro, pianist and curator of the museum, the year before he passed away.

Still having a HELL of a time to upload pictures. Will try AGAIN
Sorry, I give UP

What happened to the photo of the Maestro Nicolas?

He played for me and guests every time we went to El Triunfo.

I shall miss him!
