Today Nieves showed up with a particularly nice treat. Her husband is currently picking these fruits and vegetables north of town.
Their names are similar to fish names in Mexico. Confusing and varied.
Locally the white one is Dalmata and my favorite. Crisp and sweet. Direct from the Garden of Eden.
The big smooth yellow she calls Hanido. It is sweet and suave, soft.
The striped she calls Cordiano, crisp and sweet.

So which is your favorite?
P.S Nieves is a gifted cook. What would you most like to see her prepare?
