Ignacio Springs B&B, best breakfast in Baja.

Turn off the highway toward town, they are on the left about 1/2 mile from the highway. If you get to the Desert inn (or whatever it's called now) you've gone too far.
They have a sign, can't miss it.

On the road heading in, left hand side. There's a good sized sign.

Rene's!
just off the SE corner of the plaza

it would be good to call or email them with your intentions, not necessary but not a bad idea either. If I overnight in Guerro Negro I always wait till I get to San Ignacio for breakfast.

Bajahowodd - 5-30-2013 at 03:59 PM

Rice & Beans.

David K - 5-30-2013 at 04:05 PM

I didn't realize that Ignacio Springs would serve breakfast to non overnight guests (Bed & Breakfast, afterall)? It is a good Canadian style breakfast, indeed.

However, Ricardo's Rice & Beans Restaurant is available too, as Howodd mentioned... It is on the right paved road to San Lino (a little village next to San Ignacio) after turning off Hwy. 1 towards town, and is next to Hwy. 1, you pass it before the turnoff if southbound... but need to use the access road to San Lino as mentioned. Well signed.

I am sure there are a dozen other area places, too... Finding food is never a problem in Mexico!

dt...i didn't think a NON paying person could have breakfast with terry and gary either...so it's news to me!...ricardo's rice and beans has served me many a huevos rancheros over the years and they are just off the highway....san ignacio springs is the best breakfast around tho, no doubt!

chuckie - 5-30-2013 at 04:23 PM

Rice and Beans has always been good for us....

Udo - 5-30-2013 at 04:55 PM

I do not think that Ignacio Springs B&B is open to the public...at least not the dozen (or so) times we stayed there.

Best bet is Rice & Beans.

Turn right at the whale skeleton and immediately make another right. A little noisy from the highway above you, so if you just ignore it...

chuckie - 5-30-2013 at 05:01 PM

Yeah...

Any idea of the hours of operation?

Rice and Beans is also a Hotel and a RV Park, so they should be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week.

BajaBlanca - 5-30-2013 at 07:29 PM

I bet if you send an email to Gary and Terry, they'll provide breakfast.

DianaT - 5-30-2013 at 07:37 PM

Last time we were there the restaurant in the Desert Inn opens at 7 a.m. and breakfast was pretty good --- we preferred it over Rice and Beans ---

That is if you can't eat with Gary and Terry.

dtbushpilot - 5-30-2013 at 08:16 PM

Ignacio Springs will serve you breakfast, I think Terry charges about $10 and they begin serving at 7am. Best to call or email ahead just to be sure they are there, sometimes they travel in the off season. Rice and Beans can be accessed directly off the highway now if you chose to go that route.
