The Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic in Rosarito Today was a Great Success

Gypsy Jan - 6-9-2013 at 08:31 PM

Our seven-month-old female Rottie puppy attended the event and she was an angel.

We arrived at before 7:00 am (the official start time was eight) and already about twenty people were waiting.

The people who operate/volunteer to this charity are organized and efficient and very good natured; some people got impatient with the wait or thought that other people were jumping the line, they took it all in stride.

When we left, I checked out how many dogs/cats they had registered - it was over two hundred and they were nowhere near done with signing up the late arrivals.

Start to finish, our puppy was there for about five hours. She is home now and doing well.

bajadogs - Hubby took pics but he is too busy taking care of our girl (restrict water and no food) to post pics to me.

Willardguy, too funny! People did go to Splash2 nearby for coffee and then other people said OXXO nearby was better and cheaper - they got into mild actual arguments about taste and price

Since it was before 10:00 am, no beer available.

Some of My Takeaways from Today

With all of the chaos waiting outside the clinic on the sidewalk - all dogs were well behaved.

The vets were already informed about a Pit bull that was especially dangerous to other dogs and they took her in first.

We chatted with an elderly Mexican American who had a beautifully maintained Golden Retriever. He stated, "She is afraid, she knows things happen here." Despite his statement, the dog remained calm while they waited.
