How bout them Padres?

Bob H - 6-16-2013 at 09:47 PM

I am sure there are many fans in Baja for the San Diego Padres. They are on a ROLL! They swept the Braves and then the Diamondbacks. And, now, are only 2 games out of first place, after starting the season 5-15. Wow... they are on FIRE!

GOOOOOOO PADRES !!!

Ateo - 6-16-2013 at 09:52 PM

Holy crap. Just as I kicked my Padres habit after 15 years you're telling me to go get a fix?? I got tired of getting caught inside. I will always love the Padres. Holy moly, gonna go check the standings and be stoked that the $150 million Dodgers are in last place?

for myself and at least maybe a couple others, as baseball on the radio,
Go Padres and Jerry Coleman

My beloved Gigantes have been in a slump lately. However, some great match ups starting tonight against the Friars:

GIANTS VS. SAN DIEGO

Monday: Giants' Barry Zito (4-5, 4.79) vs. Edinson Volquez (5-5, 5.87), 7:15 p.m. CSNBA

Tuesday: Giants' Matt Cain (5-3, 4.70) vs. Andrew Cashner (5-3, 3.52), 7:15 p.m. CSNBA

Wednesday: Giants' Madison Bumgarner (6-4, 3.30) vs. Eric Stults (6-5, 3.28), 12:45 p.m. CSNBA

The roll is over. They should never have won last night either.

daveB - 6-18-2013 at 11:46 PM

Okay, I'll say it. Go Blue Jays! Like the Padres, their seventh win in a row tonight, 8-3 over Rockies, in Toronto.

Ateo - 6-19-2013 at 03:35 AM

The Expos are gonna win the World Series.

woody with a view - 6-19-2013 at 04:36 AM

Go Gigantes

Expos were the best team in baseball but at mid season that season was cancelled. It wasn't long after the crowds stopped coming, and it dwindled down to almost nobody. End of Expos.

Skipjack Joe - 6-19-2013 at 05:31 PM

Bumgarner beaned Guzman today.

"We take care o'our own", the texan was later heard saying.

Hook - 6-19-2013 at 05:34 PM

The NL West is only window dressing.

The St Louis Cardinals are the team to beat this year. And maybe for several more years. What a scouting system! What a farm!!!

Albert Who jols???

Udo - 6-19-2013 at 06:18 PM

So far no one on the CHARGERS squad has been injured.

GO CHARGERS!

Only two months, or so, to go for football!

I believe you may be right. They pitched a 2 hitter tonight. And that's not uncommon. They have a good starting rotation and they don't make mistakes (they don't beat themselves).

On the other hand, you did predict the Phillies over the Giants in 2010, the year they won the Series.

Boston Red Sox beat the New York Giants four games to three (with one tie).
