Toyo Open Country A/T II tires

bonanza bucko - 6-26-2013 at 07:20 PM

Does anyone have experience with these tires in Baja. They are supposed to be tough but quieter on the road than BFG TAs etc.

I'm gonna need a new set of something pretty soon. I'm on my 6the set of BFG TAs and I'm happy with them but they are kinda noisy when I am not on dirt.

Thanks for your input.

We had the Toyo A/Ts on our Tacoma - they were great tires.
Indeed quieter than the BFG TAs - also better in the rain. The newer version of it looks even better.

Ditto... I had Toyo Open Country ATs on my previous Tacoma (2005)... Never had a flat with them, quiet on the highway and worked fine in the sand. The new AT-II looks great and they were on my 'short list' to the next tire to try. I ended up getting the Cooper/Destiny Dakota ATs last Sunday.

I've got Toyo A/T on an F350 (E load rating) and agree with comments above, except I have picked up a couple of flats, both of them on graded roads where I was probably driving too fast. No problems with slower rougher roads and the sidewalls show no cutting/bruising signs.
