How hot is it, really?

grace59 - 6-29-2013 at 11:22 AM

I'm in San Felipe right now and it's HOT? How hot...I'm not sure...seems every weather website gives a different temperature...some show Mexicali instead of San Felipe. Do you know of a good, accurate weather website for places in Baja???

woody with a view - 6-29-2013 at 11:37 AM

it was 118 going thru Ocotillo Wells yesterday around 3pm.

Bubba - 6-29-2013 at 11:45 AM

It's 109 in Paso Robles today, low 90's in Pismo.

DENNIS - 6-29-2013 at 11:48 AM

It 75° right here right now. Foggy too. That keeps the heat down.

Try This Site

The link is set up for Rosarito and we have found it to be pretty accurate.

You can easily modify it for San Felipe:

http://www.myforecast.com/bin/expanded_forecast.m?city=70335...

DavidE - 6-29-2013 at 12:14 PM

I doan theen so....

The link shows an afternoon high of 25C for San Felipe, so there must be more than one San Felipe listed. May 25C inside your refrigerator maybe...

monoloco - 6-29-2013 at 12:30 PM

If you go to Weather Underground http://www.wunderground.com/ there is a weather station at Eldorado Ranch, it did not come up when I typed in San Felipe but if you use the wundermap you will see it flagged. It currently shows 105º and forecasts 107º for today's high.

Russ - 6-29-2013 at 12:31 PM

really pretty nice here right now. 83º ~ E 10 to 15mph ~ but 83% humidity ruin it.

DavidE - 6-29-2013 at 12:38 PM

In dry extreme heat I have purchased green insect screen threw it over me, and played a fan through it outside to me after soaking it in water. Basic swamp cooling. Mexicans thought I was nuts. Three days later they were doing the same.

monoloco - 6-29-2013 at 12:43 PM

Wow, I just checked the weather underground site for San Felipe again and it's showing 108.1º and is forecasting 117º. If anybody's interested the weather station is MMSF.

Mariz - 6-29-2013 at 12:57 PM

My husband says "it's hotter than two rats 'doing it' in a wool sock!", here in Loreto.

That is the sight that iIwas using. It is the only place where it shows a station actually in San Felipe...it is somewhere here in El Dorado Ranch. I like the heat, but this is just a bit too much! I'm meltinggggg.....

sancho - 6-29-2013 at 02:32 PM

Death Valley125, here in San Clemente, overcast
gloom 76, I use that weatherunderground site, at
the very bottom of the page on a San Felipe search
it usually lists 4 or so weather stations, Percebu,
SF Bay, El Dorado

Yes, John and Rachel have had a few problems getting launched and staying afloat, but are going to attempt leaving on Monday...which is, unfortunately for them, suppose to be even hotter than today!!!

Terry28 - 6-29-2013 at 04:27 PM

93 in Big Bear at 4 pm...and we are at 7000 ft

DavidE - 6-29-2013 at 05:16 PM

Dang, I had to take off the insulated Carhartt® vest this aftenoon and remain in a mere sweat shirt. When I went through Lukeville, AZ three years ago, the Border Patrol thermometer read, 122.5F while my NIST thermometer read 50C. It was so hot the sun playing on my skin made we wince, and leaving the window down and having 122F air hit me was painful as hell. When I arrived in laughlin, the thermometers read 100 to 101 at midnight. But that was in an asphalt and concrete environment. The hotel had a fabulous air conditioner. Two nights for $8.81 total. I'll sleep under my comforter again tonight.

Kgryfon - 6-29-2013 at 09:57 PM

It was 109 in Vacaville CA when I was there earlier today, and rising. Only 106 where I live...

Cool But Humid
