THIS is how hot it is!

My little local hummingbird used to sit on the tip of my flagpole to sing and keep an eye on his feeder.

Since yesterday the little guy has been sitting in a new spot, in the shade, to guard his prize. He doesn't even have to chase off the marauding intruders anymore. When an unwelcome bird zooms in he just chirps at them from his perch. I doubt they even see him until they hear him!

Great pics, cool little bird, pun intended.

Hah thats funny. I like those little guys. The green ones.

A few weeks ago I had one buzzing around me, checking me out. He stopped, and sat there turning his head back and forth, looking at me...I sorta just stayed really quite and still, watching. It was a cool moment : )

they are sorta like trophy's to keep me over until the next trip. i sprayed them with polyurethane to keep the stink in.

That's a nice idea for the tails, Woody!

I'll keep that in mind for the house in BA.

Thanks!

let them dry in the sun for a week or three, then seal them. works on bulls horns, too!
