Greetings nomads. I am coming to visit and research living for 6 months in the Ensenada area. I am looking for an efficiency/studio apartment. Also I
could use some info about different neighborhoods. Due to my health problems, a neighborhood hospital would be an asset. I have visited Bahia Asuncion
twice and love that southern area. My focus is however to find a more "robust" area with services for a senior like me. I am looking to leave Reno in
a couple weeks and spend a week around Ensenada. I would then rent a place and transition to it around August 15 or so. I am open to look at Punta
Banda and Mandeanaro also. Any and all advice gratefully accepted. Best regards, Bobvaso

I advise you to do exactly as you have planned, come down here and look around. Not knowing what your needs are specifically, it's difficult to make
suggestions.
Didn't we just go through this a couple of months back? Arn't you Reno Bob...the Scourge of Asuncion? They're still talking about you down there.

Look around on the north side of town also. San Miguel is at the end of the toll road on the right. Tell the guard your looking for a place. Also call
the places for sale and see if they will rent the place for 6 months.
There are some nice places by the College and the Marina.

When you go to a hospital the first thing they ask for is your "credencial". Your membership card. Or an American Express black card or a VISA or
MASTERCARD rated so high it glows in the dark.
Get your medical insurance done ASAP. It is a long, long, hour and a half to the border. I familiarized myself with the garita POE pedestrian
crossing. Cruz Roja de Tijuana is outstanding.
I did my homework and know for me at least a serious medical issue will lead to picks and shovels and garlands of plastic flowers at the local
panteon. Maybe they'll be enough left over for a backhoe.
