New 3 meter tall wall erected in Tijuana to deter peddlers into border lanes

Spanish: Un muro metálico de aproximadamente 3 metros, se está colocando en el camellón de la avenida Internacional, esto ayudará a disminuir la cantidad de atropellamientos de indigentes que cruzan de forma imprudente por la vialidad.

English: A metal wall approximately 3 meters, is standing in the median of the International Avenue, this will help reduce the number of collisions of reckless indigents crossing the roads.

Ken,
Weren't you hassled at the border several years ago? I think I remember a thread about your experience.

You just need to stop hanging out with that group from the barrio....

This is a good thing perhaps for the 'careless' poor people, but I'd really like to see something done with the registered folks who so congest the lanes approaching the booths. I'm not the only one with an 8 foot wide vehicle, and even with my mirrors folded, it would be easy to arrive at the electronic cavity search with multicolored canopies, festooning the corners of my camper.

I'd be interested to know. Do Nomads buy anything from these hawkers? If so, what kind of stuff. Is it just the 'once in a whilers' who buy velvet paintings.:P

back in high school i bought one of those 1 gallon beer mugs. put it under the faucet in the bath tub to rinse it out and the ceramic handle came off in my hand. the mug was in 1000 pieces, but at least it wasn't full of beer yet!

occasional blanket for the rear seat.
