...Allen,
One day we rode from Missoula to Boise via the Lolo Pass to Kooskia, and through McCall. Did we get close to your place?

No. Well, "close" is relative, I guess. If, when you headed south out of Missoula, you'd remained on Rte 93 you would have come down through North
Fork, Salmon, Challis, Mackay, Arco, and points south (or west). One of those points south is our little town, Shoshone. A "crossroads to everywhere,
a destination for few" says a town scribe.
Or, when leaving Challis, you could have taken Rte 75, a frequent route for bikers, south through Stanley, Ketchum, Hailey and on south (or west).
We just saw a couple of friends in Stanley on Thursday who are cycling across the state and on up to Missoula.
Moi? I'll stick to four wheels and a cargo area. That way, the evening c-cktail hour(s?) can be more diversified.
