I dropped the hubby off at SJD today so if anyone is interested here is how the R/P process went...when flying.
Basically it was the same with his newly acquired R/P card as it was when he had a FM-3/No Inmigrate and FM-2/Inmigrate. After checking-in at the
ticket counter in Terminal 1 he was sent to the INM agents that are in the arriving area of the SJD airport. He filled out the same form that has
been used for the last three years…the two part form that is blue on one half and green on the other half.
We always try to keep some the extra forms at our house. By having the form already filled out it makes the process faster when standing at the INM
desk at the airport…we do wait to sign the form in front of the agent. Not knowing what the correct answer should be, the hubby left box #10 blank…Si
es extranjero residente anote el num de FM2 o FM3 o Fotocredencial de Inmifrado (no conteste la pregunta 13). The friendly INM agent wrote “R/P # and
our 8 digit R/P number in box #10. Next time we will fill-in that box ourselves.
Before walking away the hubby asked the INM agent if he could have some blank forms to keep at the house. The agent gave him eight forms which will
last us awhile.
Recently another B/N posted that at the SJD airport they were able to go through the Mexican Citizens line with their new R/P. Just a "FYI", for the
last three years, in terminal 1, we have always been processed through the Mexican Citizen line. One time when I was having my exit form stamped I
asked the INM agent…”can FM2/3’s go through the Mexican citizen line?” The agent explained to me that every airport is different however Terminal 1
(@ SJD) allows Fm2/3’s to be processed in the Mexican Citizen as a courtesy. I thanked him and added that is very kind of INM to do this.
I will say there have been several time when I started walking down the Mexican Citizen line the agent would raise their hand and point for me to get
in the visitors line…I would hold up my card and say “Soy Inmigrate”…they would smile and wave me toward them.
I almost forgot, the hubby gave the green half of the form to the ticket counter agent and kept the blue half of the form that will be given to the
INM when he flies back to SJD in one week.
