have water and power at the lot how do i get it hooked up ?
i would like to have at least a water spigot and an electrical outlet to plug into . what are the costs to get these two hook ups done by the local

Go up to the Delagacion with your property paperwork (title or fidi). You will need a meter installed for the electric, so you would have to erect a
suitable monument to mount it. If you have an account with Dennis at "Pay Dennis", (1 block east of Chapitos and 1 block north of the road) they can
also assist with getting things done and they speeak English.
I would be lying if I gave you a price. We were told by two of our neighbors that they were each charged $900+ for the water connection and it was
only $235. We were told by the same neighbors that electric was going to be $2500, but when we looked into it again two weeks ago, the staff at Pay
Dennis said it should be somewhere in the $100 range plus meter and cost to build the monument, but we can't confirm that yet since we don't have it
yet.

In the Ensenada municipality CFE won't connect you until you have;
1. A meter box installed on an approved pole with weather head installed (maybe $2 -3 hundred) and,
2. An permanent dwelling or mobile home (means using a generator to do all construction first at ?? cost)

I wish I could remember the names of the streets, it would make this a little easier. But if you go north from the fountains one block and take the
dirt road to the right that parallels the main road. The delegacion sits up behind the plaza that has the Roadrunner Cafe, East Cape Tackle etc. It
is on the north side of the road and I don't recall any prominant markings. There is often a police pickup parked in front. If all else fails, you
can ask anyone in town for directions and they'll assist you. Any of the realtors would be able to assist you and the closest one to the delegacion

CFE will help you with the mechanical regulations for the installation of your "Mufa", the service pipe drop to the meter. You install the base
(usually concrete), the meter base (ferreteria), the disconnect switch or breakers, and run the wire up to the top of the mufa and leave 1 meter (39")
dangle for the service man to connect. You need to put a ground rod, wire clamp and then run a ground wire up to the meter base. 8 AWG is the size
used on un fila (127 volt) 30 amp service and 6 AWG is used for dos filas 254 volt service.
But CFE will hand you paperwork and diagrams which you can take to the ferreteria. Once everything is in place the service truck rolls around and
connects the dangling wires to the local grid.
Be sure to ask CFE how many meters of free space is permitted between their service local grid tie and your mufa. You may have to install one or more
poles at your expense depending if what lies in between is public or private property.
