It is a British artist's rendition of what may be expected when extraterrestrial life is encountered. No lungs, breathes like a roach. This thing does not "exist".

Be glad, be VERY glad you live on the peninsula. There are places in Mexico and Central America, where a pabellon is placed over the bed to keep insects from dropping from the ceiling. Bed posts are placed in tins filled with diesel to keep climbing insects from ascending the legs of the bed.

Thought you'd get a kick out of the image. Did I read that the imagined creature was to be more than 7 meters in height?

BTW David, this isn't a artist rendition, this is a Water Bear photographed by Diane Nelson.
The artist rendition is creepy close to a real thing though

Just trying to give credit where it's due: this is not an illustration but a photograph of a micoscopic animal called a tardigrade or water bear. They are less than 1.5 mm long, so it would fit in this "o". The photo is by Power and Sayred, British microscopy photographers (hence the watermark):
