Nice article. One of the best things about La Paz is that, in spite of its great Baja location, unparalleled malecon and abundance of everything
anyone from a big city in USA would want or need, La Paz is not a tourist trap. It definitely doesn't have the artificial commercial false venir that
has corrupted and tainted the once marvelous genuine serenity that used to be Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo.
The Malecon does go under a conversion at night toward energetic night clubs and c-cktail lounges, but I definitely get the feeling it is oriented
toward accommodating the locals and not the tourists. I see that as La Paz "keeping it real".
All that, and, real estate is dirt cheap and ubiquitously abundant if you just look around a bit.

Of all the cities in Baja I like La Paz the most. I agree with MitchMan.

THis guy doesn't know La Paz and probably got this info from guide books -- some dated.

Interesting. I still see the marvelous genuine serenity in Mazatlan, PV and Cabo. GN, too.
