SENTRI Auto Add

So, I am a long time SENTRI dude. I have actually renewed my SENTRI this year and just sold my truck and bought a new Ford F150 Platnum.

I applied to the truck to be added almost a month ago and it is still in "awaiting review" status.

Has anyone had a recent auto add on?
Did it take forever?
Once you were approved, how far out was the meeting time after the approval?

I added another vehicle in Jan 2012. I applied online and it was at least 2 months before the paperwork for the car was approved. I got an appointment at San Luis a week later and went and got my inspection and sticker.

My wife's Sentri expires end of October. On July 24th, we applied for her renewal. That status is Pending.

If you renew your SENTRI card before it expires, the vehicle is automatically renewed.

If your card expires, you have to start over with your vehicle.....at least at Otay....YMMV

Yes, this is true because the vehicle conveyance information is on a Sentri members account, Sentri expires, the vehicle on that account expires. In our case the truck is on my wife's account, the Jeep is on mine.

I bought a new Toyota Tacoma and applied for the new car to be added on 8/7/2013 and the sold vehicle to be deleted. The sold vehicle is off and the new one is still PENDING

Yeah it took a while for me to register a new car as well. Maybe a month or two?

The GOES website states:

"Effective June 27, 2013, CBP will no longer issue windshield decal stickers for vehicles using the SENTRI lanes.

If you had a pending application for a replacement decal sticker, your application will be cancelled. If you had an appointment scheduled to receive the decal, your appointment will be cancelled.

A refund will be initiated on your behalf for the $25 fee if you submitted your application through GOES. This refund may take up to six months to process."

Not sure if that means that you don't have to register the cars anymore or not though...

My request to add a vehicle has been "pending" for 70 days now........the request to remove the previous vehicle that was sold, was immediate! Good thing we had two registered!

In Dec 2012, we bought a Toyota Sequoia and I immediately went online to register it with Sentri. I was informed via info provided at the website that I could expect up to a 3 month wait to receive "conditional" approval and go to the next step of setting up an Inspection appointment (I was requesting Otay Mesa Sentri office). Since we were planning to drive out from FL in January and had bought this car to make the trips out to CA/Baja more enjoyable, well that wasn't going to work... We ultimately ended up cancelling our January trip, but ONE week later we received the "conditional" approval. No matter what you are told... keep checking the website. They may be really backed up for whatever reason, but hope springs eternal. Keep checking back.

Also, all vehicles must be registered with Sentri, from what has been reported here... just because they are no longer placing stickers on the car matters not... still must go through the registration process for the vehicle.

More important is BO's new appointments Suzanne Spaulding as Deputy Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) and Phyllis Schneck, who has a holds a Ph.D. in computer science,as the new DHS deputy undersecretary for cybersecurity.

"Phyllis always has been inspired by the work and accomplishments of her father and would thank him today for encouraging her in hard-core science and to be a leader," says Harry Raduege, chairman of the Deloitte Center for Cyber Innovation."

Genitalia Napolitano was my Gov and my HLS chief, and she was worthless at both jobs.
Although a friend of ours, who is a lesbiana, said she use to see her at a gay bar in Phoenix. The name of the bar, Mr. Fat Fingers???

The drug people were turning the decaled vehicles and occupants into drug mules by installing magnets with drug packages underneath the vehicles. They will be going by the plates now. Not sure about Az. vehicles no front plates but they can read them from rear with all the cameras they employ.

You know, I heard that rumor, but if it happened it was only a hand full of times. Coming through SENTRI on several occasions there were dogs wandering around our truck by the guard stop. Also, logistically, I think that we would have heard about it in the news, unless these guys would follow us all the way to Yuma where we would have our first stop for pee and refill of fuel. And even then, they would have to be pretty sneaky because one of us would always be around the car to walk the dog etc. while the other one was in getting a drink and pee break.

I do think that there we probably some very serious incidents of this happening that ended in a serious violent episode, but the public didn't here all the details.

UPDATE:
So after being in "Review Pending" mode for about a month, I decided to call the help desk to find out what the problem is. I was told it could be up to 8 weeks.

Well worth the "wait" CortezBlue ... we had two with SENTRI when down :):)

Think your time, is about normal ... seems it was about two months as I recall ... we waited until we had SENTRI, before we came down to stay ... then added the second while down to a used Bronco I purchased as an emergency vehicle ...Bought it after that Tsunami warning from the quake in Chile ... was afoot, while the wife had gone NOB to visit family ... felt a bit "naked" without a way to get away from the ocean quickly :lol::lol:

Yep, I am on my 6th year of SENTRI. I just did my renewal in March, but sold both my cars and bought a new F150 but according to the support line it can take up to 2 months to get the release.

OK, as of today, I have temp approval.

Getting vehicle inspected tomorrow.
