Labor Day Weekend was spent visiting my daughter and granddaughter and one day we drove past Chiva Falls Trail on Redington Road (I think that's what
she called it) and went off on a Jeep Trail for a bit... using some low range 4WD and A-TRAC...
Here are my Labor Day photos from Tucson... on or just off Redington Road passing the Chiva Falls Trail... went over 15 miles over the top of the
mountain...

My daughter after tossing a rock into the green slime covered pond.
My granddaughter likes four wheeling!
If those were cardon cactus instead of Saguaros, you would think I was in Baja!David K - 9-3-2013 at 07:09 PM
Oh, almost forgot... Savannah (my granddaughter) has just turned 3 years old! In August of 2010, I began posting lots of photos here on Nomad of Sarah
and her new baby for those who knew my daughter when we began doing group camping trips to Baja... GeoRock, Paulina, Debra, Mary Ann Humfreville and
others here and Amigos de Baja were very kind and close to my kids during my single parent years, when they were kids and teens.

OMG, she's Sarah's carbon copy! So so cute and cuddly I bet.
My wife and I've been babysitting our now 8-mo old, first grand baby and I know how it is!

Congratulations Art!!!
Yes, Savannah is Sarah II!
Thank you other Nomads for the replies and invite.Steve in Oro Valley - 9-4-2013 at 09:47 AM
Welcome to Tucson:
You should have stopped by Oro Valley, about 10 miles north of downtown Tucson. We have some great hiking and 4 wheel drive trails up here too.
Your grand daughter is a jewel !
My daughter is still a ranger at the Grand Canyon. She has been working with Sesame Street on projects for youngsters emphasizing the outdoors.
YouTube -- Ranger Amala to see her videos. Savannah, at 3 years old, will get a kick out of it later if not now...
bye,
