Dish network

I'm in San Jose. Trying to add a second dish unit with local Houston stations. We have a neighborhood main dish we all use. It is pointed to transponder 119. I need transponder 110 for my locals. Can one dish that is 3 meters be used to get signal from both ?

My other unit gets NY stations and works fine. But NY uses 119

Dish sat 119 is good to go in the San Jose area. Sat 110 can be seen with a 6 foot dish, you will only get two of the transponders the other 30 or so are too well focused on the US. I seem to remember that the two that can be gotten have stations of not much of common interest, shopping channels, Bloomberg. Your chances of getting a spotbeam channel of Texas locals on say a 12 foot dish are slim to nada. To bring in two different Satellites on one dish with spearated LNB's works, but the signal from both is a lot weaker and having done it with an 6 foot dish, gave it up due to digitizing at times. Sat 110 is too weak to do this way. Some things we just have to give up to live in paradise. Good luck.

Until someone comes up with pay-per-view streaming on the internet, good luck.

If you have someone back in Texas with cable or satellite.. you can hook up with a slingbox system and stream everything they get thru the internet...
It has worked well for us for going on 4 years...
Have to have a dedicated receiver in the states you can hook up to and high speed internet both ends... We have been very happy with ours... watch all the NFL,, etc...
you will need to dedicate a computer or purchase a wd media box at your end to receive the signal to your tv set...
several of us in Mulege use this and I saw a couple in LaPaz that were also using.
good luck...
