Heading down to San Jose Del Cabo in early November.
I have been to Cabo Pulmo via Route 1.
I noticed that I can also take the road that hugs the east coast north.
It appears to me that even though Hwy 1 is probably longer, I think it may be shorter for time.
Any East Cape folks have any suggestions?bajajudy - 9-24-2013 at 04:50 PM
Take the East Cape road from San Jose(stop in the best book store in Baja on the way!)along the coast.
Stop at Crossroads Country Club for food and drink(don't be put off by the name!). Enjoy the scenery. If the wind is out of the north, stop to swim
and snorkel in Los Frailes.....next stop Cabo Pulmo!
OOPS
If you enjoyed that trip up, you can go back that way. If it was too much, you can take #1 back to SJ.

the "coast" route is a scratcher, from san jose north to la ribera or visa versa....but it is just a wonderful route if you have the time...gorgeous
SOC views and lots of turnouts...or not ...but very little traffic if you want to just take your time and chill out...always recommended in my
opinion.CortezBlue - 9-24-2013 at 08:16 PM
I think I may go up one way and down the other.
Are plans are to snorkel so maybe we can hit some spots on the way their and cruise back on Hwy 1
