Such a huge effort so I asked "How many times do you have to drive the track to build the road book?"
Answer:
"I can do road books like this by driving one time. I can make a road book from google earth.
Then drive it and make notes for corrections and make the real gps trail at same time.
Only catch is if you make course changes."

I know he did the thing is 2 long days for both the bikes, cars & CODE 300, but they are the same for many sections.
And it took 2 weekends after the false start due to the politicians who made big changes. So last weekend was the do-over from scratch.

Sounds like fun (to me)! I love recording road mileages and I seem to have a brain that remembers conditions along the road (at least in Baja)... Some
say it is a Virgo thing to enjoy details?

Chris did an excellent job on the road book and the GPS downloads. I didn't take his notes for Laguna Salada with me (only El Mono) and wish I had
when I hit the mud further east from the course. But it worked out OK just messy.
