Baja is a good introduction. The mainland is a bit more hassle and totally different in geography. Most people start with Baja. My buddy Dan Goy,
refers to it as "Mexico Light'

Let's try to be clear about this. It's how the Mexican press portrayed their country. The US press only got their information from the Mex press.
If the rest of your articles are of the "suppress bad news in the interest of tourism" type, I'd say they're a waste of time.

I think there is a factual error in the second sentence of the Baja article:
"The two Baja territories were the last to be proclaimed as Mexican states—Baja California in the north in 1953 and Baja California Sur in the
south in 1974. "
Quintana Roo, where Cancun is located, became a state in 1974.
