American Legion - Ensenada

bajaguy - 10-8-2013 at 08:06 PM

The purpose of this message is to gauge the interest of veterans in the area in forming an American Legion Post.

At this time this is just an interest survey. If enough interest exists, a planning meeting will be held at a future date.

If you are interested in this endeavor please stop by or e-mail:

I have a privately owned and run VFW in San Lucitas w/ free beer (IF you bring your own!)... all vets welcome and welcome home.

Seriously, i support your endeavor, should be enough ex-pat's to fill at least a week-end roster. If i were closer, i'd participate. If you get it off the ground and my stateside membership is valid, i'll 'donate' at the bar and tip GENEROUSLY. Buena suerte, happy trails.

Ed, there are about 18 established posts in Mexico. None that I could find in Baja, however several on the mainland including Mexico Post 15 in Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco)

VFW lifer too but the card says "Member at Large", no post. There were mistakes on my original DD214 that had to be corrected then submitted to National who issued the membership. We lost our VFW post in Ocean Beach due to ending of the building lease and a bit of bad management by the post. The Borrego AL post is very active in the community and a bunch of good folks who do a lot with the Julian posts.
