Buying a Computer from Telnor?

Gypsy Jan - 10-10-2013 at 07:34 PM

The Rosarito office offers all sorts of familiar brand names - HP, Dell and others.

My old computer is truly dead and beyond revival even to zombie status because of a fried hard drive.

Do any Nomads have experience with purchasing a computer from Telnor?

we were in the Ensenada office and they not only had some very nice Computers they had a nice selection of flat screen TV's.
The interesting thing was the young man we were talking with had us on his computer and related to us we had a significant line of credit with Telnor and would add any purchase to our monthly telephone bill.
About the Computers I don't know for certain I have heard the programs are in Spanish if that would make any difference to you.

Why would you shop at TelNor when you're twenty miles away from BestBuy and three miles away from Office Depot in Rosarito?
Consider the warranty value. You think TelNor will even listen to you?

Right, John...they are, but for us, Bobby or Chris can gut your new computer and reload it in Ingles for a little bit of nothing.

Personally, I could never get used to the Spanish keyboard.

Yeah, I love it how many keystrokes you gotta do to get a stinking @ ?

Check out HOLDKEY.COM for a free, superbly easy to use download for Ñ, € and other keystroke shortcuts. §'s too for folks on the lam.

We Have English Keyboards

So that is not a problem, also, home computer guru says that a Spanish key board can be easily configured for English sensibilities.

What is interesting about the Telnor offer is the credit facility - they add the computer to your bill in monthly payments.

Warranty service for other items we have purchased from Telnor (i.e, high speed modem) has been OK in the past.
