I've recently found the Notes In Spanish website, which features dozens - if not hundreds - of podcasts of Spanish instruction at multiple levels. The MP3 format makes
them ideal for listening during a commute - like my half-hour daily schlep to work.
My only beef? It's in Castilian, complete with use of vosotros, lisping of Zs, etc. I hesitate to get too comfortable with it, lest I sound
like a madrileņo when I order a Pacifico. Am I worrying needlessly about this?

Yes you are worrying too much. I have been listening to their podcasts for years and found it helps me with conversational Spanish. Yes, they use
different words and accents but I find it useful. Individual tastes and it's been free.
