It's either a Nigerian-type scam, or Chase wants to try to move their clients who have the capital to transfer large sums of money overseas into a different type of account that will allow these large transfers for a "nominal convenience fee".

Or..........

The scared-est bolts first. It'll be interesting to see how this thing plays out. Can't print money without causing inflation. It's like paying your employees more, charging the customer less, and paying the same for expenses. Banks do not like the term "OPEN WIDE" vamos a ver.

I don't know why anyone would consider using any financial services from a corrupt criminal organization like JP Morgan Chase in the first place.
Libor rigging
Manipulating electricity rates
Manipulating FX markets
Manipulating commodity markets
Making risky investments with FDIC insured deposits (London whale)
Foreclosure fraud
Lying to regulators
Lying to congress

Good thing that I bank with Citibank...IN south Dakota!
Yes, there IS a local branch, but I transferred all my money to South Dakota.

Now I will have no payroll taxes deducted from my payroll...last week it was $199.00!

vgabndo - 10-16-2013 at 05:17 PM

Udo, are you and other like you with similar incomes required to pay taxes where you live? Are you saying that you shouldn't be paying payroll tax and the only way to avoid the injustice is to move your money out of state?

Or, is this a domestic version of the way FedEx and MANY others use off shore addresses to avoid paying their share of taxes?

Barry A. - 10-16-2013 at 05:32 PM

We bank in San Antonio, Texas (US Global) because they pay us the most income on our money there. (or at least they used to when MM funds made a decent return pre-Obama). You go where you get the best return on your money, normally. However, we almost always buy local, at small outlets, and seldom at the Big Box stores.

Everybody does it differently, I believe, regardless of the snipeing of others. :light::O:lol:

"...prompting speculation that the bank is preparing for a looming financial crisis in the United States by imposing capital controls."

Hmm...not out of the woods yet?
