Headed down to Gonzaga in 2 weeks from Tucson. We overnight in Yuma and usually cross at San Luis, then jump on the toll road over to Mex 5.
Someone recently suggested Calexico East..any advantages?

I hate the traffic at the East crossing. Much prefer Algadonas.

The Calexico East crossing southbound into Mexico has absolutely no traffic problem. Northbound? Now that's another story.

Algodones was the 1st crossing that we ever used, but the slow route south thru the farmland and little villages , while very interesting on that 1st
trip...takes a while when your trying to make time. I like the San Luis...turn right onto the Mex 2 zip over to the 5 and head south..just checking to
see if there was a reason to go elswhere
