Hope there is little damage on both sides of the sea

Just felt it here, about a minute ago just south of Sta Rosalia.
Looked it up on USGS site, epicenter middle of Sea of Cortez, about 50 miles east of Loreto. Initial seizmic report is 6.8. That's big enough to
expect aftershocks, so watch out for falling concrete and bricks y'all.

According to this link it was 6.4, and 17 km NW of Loreto.
They changed the inf. on their site. 87 km east of Loreto.bajabuddha - 10-19-2013 at 11:34 AM
Also, downgraded to 6.3 (happens as more data comes in). And i thought it was just the wind rocking my 5th wheel.....Johannes - 10-19-2013 at 03:01 PM
I know, the last quake I felt was in my 5th wheel and I had to look outside to check it was not windy and really a earthquake. This time I was in the
apartment on to of my garage, 20ft above ground and the whole garage was swaying and the barbecue grill was rattling. Quite a different experience
here in the north end of Loreto near Picazon.Johannes - 10-19-2013 at 03:16 PM

You know as I know, we are moving north at the breathtaking speed of nearly 2 inches a year.bajabuddha - 10-19-2013 at 03:56 PM
We DID have snow on top of Tres Virgenes volcano last January.David K - 10-19-2013 at 04:01 PM
Even if you don't move north fast enough, the Ice Age progressing the past 15 years will help with the Baja Sur ski slopes! Johannes - 10-19-2013 at 04:04 PM

Yes, indeed... there was a full moon last night until this morning, too!Howard - 10-19-2013 at 04:38 PM
Just had a small roller in Loreto at 5:34. Got skunked fishing yesterday so I'll blame it on the earthquake. While writing this, another small one
rolled but each one seems smaller than the next.Russ - 10-19-2013 at 04:52 PM
Didn't feel it.

Never felt anything yesterday altho something in the kitchen rattled really loudly. Since no one was near the house but me, I wondered at the time,
what is going on?Johannes - 10-20-2013 at 10:08 AM
