A dear family member is in need of a Neurologist. Can anyone recommend a Neurologist in the La Paz - Cabo area? My family member is currently in La
Paz.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

La Paz Military Hospital

is a fine medical center, imo, with fair prices.
Located on Avenida Forjadores near the Soriana complex, same side of the road.rufflife - 10-20-2013 at 08:48 AM
Mulegena - Thank you! These suggestions help!boe4fun - 10-21-2013 at 09:13 AM
You might try contacting my friend Dr. Alejandro Aguirre Chavez. He is a PM & R - Physical Medicine and Rehab Doc himself - but he works with
other specialties and should be able to hook you up with a qualified Neuro.Mulegena - 10-21-2013 at 10:00 AM

The "best" specialists seem to be employee doctors of IMSS that circulate around the "perifiericos" and treat long lists of patients referred to them
for "estudias". Catching one of the specialists is the trick. If you run into an obstacle I would certainly recommend going to your IMSS facility, and
ask them for a reference for one of their doctors practicing on the side. That doctor will undoubtedly have the inside track on who's who in the MD
area of your needs.
IMHO There are as many untalented doctors in Mexico are there are in the USA.rufflife - 10-22-2013 at 10:06 AM
I thank you all for the time you have taken to post your responses. Through Baja Nomad, we were able to find an amazing neurologist, who did
everything he could.
While I no longer am seeking a neurologist, I hope these responses all help the next person who is looking for a neurologist for their loved one.
