I use Fugawi, which is actually GPS software.

I record the points and tracks from the GPS into the computer, and then use Adobe Illustrator to produce vector drawings (actually automatic tracings) of the bitmap files that Fugawi produces.

If you are OK with bitmap product, just Fugawi is OK, but it doesn`t scale very well on a printout.

Fugawi also allows you to scan a map into a computer, calibrate it (mark its boundaries, and then you can use a GPS to show you your position/track in realtime superimposed on the map display.

Great product.

I use Ozie Explored - very much like Fugawi.. I can calibrate a scanned map, add my waypoints and/or the track from my GPSr which shows where I actually went..

Have had it a year or so and like what it does. It supports many popular GPSr's and you can import from one and export to a different one. A way to share waypoints without having to imput them by hand.
