A Lost Dog Named Mindy, In La Paz

Bajatripper - 11-1-2013 at 02:38 PM

If you, or someone you know, has lost a dog in La Paz, a dog with registration from Nevada which identifies her as being named Mindy, please u2u me for information on how to get her back. A friend of my wife found the dog on the malecon in La Paz and got in touch with her asking what to do.

I tried calling the phone number on the tag, but the phone is "out of service" which could mean that they don't have a portable-to-Mexico phone plan.

Anyway, hope to hear from someone soon as I can only imagine how someone must be feeling right now--especially if they are tourists and operating under a time frame to retrieve her.

Thanks for the suggestion, capt. I'll tell my wife to do that as it would be a bit of a drive for me from Washington State.

She could also take the dog to a vet with a microchip reader (there's one on Madero, I'd have to look it up if you're interested) to see if the dog is chipped.

If she hasn't already, maybe a post on La Paz Gringos, too.

Just checked La Paz Gringos and saw her post there. I'm crossing my fingers that her owners come forward.

We used CH 22 when staying at Casa Buena in La Paz. Milton and SuSu have a good place and are helpful folks. Put out a call, someone will be listening.

I would/wont go any where whithout my Icom hand held fully charged!!! In Baja its a lifeline !! as well as any coastal area..Hands down better than a cell near de coast !! cell's are high fregs and not tuned for the fringe area's aka the beach and coast.....Funny thing is the usa 22A is inter agency simplex channel and you do not use it except for a incedent.....K&T
