In the past with my FMX I had to show paperwork on the way in, which we never had because we normally drive in and out of MX
So a few years ago we started to use our passport, it was easier.
Has this changed with Perm Res card?

With a residente permanente you need to fill out the FMM application and have it stamped by the migration agent when you leave Mexico, when you return
to Mexico you turn the form in. It's exactly the same as it was with the FM2 and FM3 in the past.

We flew in recently. We were directed to the 'citizen' line -muy rapido.
