Amazing pictures as always. The detail you get from an underwater shoot is incredible.
Thanks for posting!

Mexitron - 11-11-2013 at 04:46 PM

Nice one of da rock!

DianaT - 11-11-2013 at 04:47 PM

More examples of your great underwater photography! They are beautiful. The fringeheads are always my favorites ---great faces.

I also really like the HDR of the dock and rock. IMHO, it works real well for that scene.

Russ - 11-11-2013 at 04:59 PM

JUST ! WOW !

I needed a Ken Bondy fix. Nice to see you, amigo.

Great HDR work.....proper balance....not overloaded, and of course the eye caught the subject and dealt with it properly.

Welcome back.

55steve - 11-11-2013 at 05:32 PM

Those pics are as good as they get!

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure we have several of the sarcastic fringeheads on this board.

monoloco - 11-11-2013 at 05:33 PM

As always, great photography and subject matter. I really like your HDR stuff.

woody with a view - 11-11-2013 at 06:38 PM

Morro Bay, Right? My Uncle Kennie's house looked out right at the rock....lotsa good memories...Thanks

bajadock - 11-11-2013 at 07:14 PM

Amazing beauty as usual, Ken, Thanks.

Polycera atra looks like it is doing quite a dance. And there is even a sea slug forum for fun, when Nomad is having a slow week...

Skipjack Joe - 11-11-2013 at 10:06 PM

Ken,

Are you still using film for your underwater work or was that taken with a DSLR?

I'm glad you're posting here again. It's been a while.

Thanks Igor. I've been digital since 2004. These are with a Fuji S2-Pro DSLR.

Very nice! I see several people already commented on the "Sarcastic fringehead."

Ken, how do you sleep at night? Those critters, while incredibly beautiful are the things of otherworldly fantasies some might call nightmares. It must be a great sense of pride and accomplishment to you when you view the final shot from the comfort of your home/office to know you crossed some heavy barriers to visit their world, show us their unique adaptations. You save all of us a lot of toil and trouble and gift us with your courage and genius.

bufeo - 11-12-2013 at 08:40 AM

Ken, your photographs are always extraordinary and a veritable plethora of visual details. Thank you for taking the time to post them.

I, too, can identify with the "Sarcastic fringehead" but included no sarcasm in my comment above.

Truly captivating images.

Thanks again.

And it's got a field mouse in it's mouth. Poor thing, there is no escape. It won't be long now.

Sorry. I must have asked you that same question at least 5 times. Maybe it's the dengue fever.
