Questions re:Parking RV/trailer at Baja lot/home building site long term

Has anyone driven a trailer or RV into Baja and left it in place for a vacation home, or while constructing a home, while going back and forth from US over a period of time?

If so: Are there any requirements that must be met for MX importation? Does any agency monitor how long RVs/trailers are left in Baja, and/or charge for the "privilege"?

YES.
There was no authority interested in the location of my trailer, and no charge for leaving it.

Just make sure the location you leave it in is secure, you'll want to find your stuff still inside when you get back.

On the mainland, you are supposed to have the 10 year, temporary importation permit that runs about 50.00US.

Not sure about Baja but I seem to recall a period a few years ago where "authorities" near Cabo San Lucas were checking for these and impounding some rigs that didnt have them.

For 50 bucks for 10 years, I'd get it. Obtainable on line; others will have to supply the link.
