Sold it to someone who knows what a "beater" is:
BEATER:
A car used for daily transport to avoid damage or wear on a nicer car.

1994 Geo Prizm, a Corolla in disguise.
Ugly, runs great.
Features such as AC and stereo and ABS and Airbags and no pesky back seat; one working door handle!
35 miles south of Los Barriles; will deliver.

Sounds like a good deal for $600 ... don't see those prices to often on something that "runs"

Well I'm not psychic, not about cars or horses. I look both in the teeth before I buy or ride.

Neither are you psychic or truly interested in selling your car, or you'd already know that I have a daughter who will be going to university in La Paz in a few months. She needs a car, but one that's street legal and reasonably reliable.

I love Nomads!
Should I have pointed out my link to craigslist?

Will you explain what "...just a title so you can get your SD plates....
Have a passable plate for it" means, please?

Is it registered in the US?
Is the title in your name?
Is the registration current through November 2013?
"passable plate"?

vandy - 11-19-2013 at 01:38 PM

It means I can sign my title over to you.
It means you get your own plates.

Or drive without.

Again, is the car currently registered in the US, i.e. registration current through December 2013?
What does "passable plates" mean to you? It either has legal plates or it doesn't.
