Are they still buying their engines from Kawasaki?

monoloco - 11-18-2013 at 04:48 PM

I wish, but for 15k, I don't think so.

I think you are thinking Arctic Cat
Polaris used Fuji motors, (Nissan) in the past.

No, we are happy with our 2002, 2003 & 2004 Polaris Sportsmans. But to each their own! Someone will buy it!

FWIW

Fuji Heavy Industries is the parent company of Subaru.

Fuji did and maybe still own a portion of Polaris.

I will keep my CanAm 800 Outlander. Once you've driven a Cadillac it is hard to step down. And besides, after a long ride, you can toast marshmallows with the exhaust system!!

i think the nomad DOGMA is that you MUST air-down tires in sand,... so airless tires like this on a conventional vehicle may be great for solid surfaces, but bad for the beach sand,... but that's OK anyhow, we all know it's illegal to drive on the beach so we would never drive on the beach :lol::lol:

i suppose you could insert sticks in the holes to increase your tire width and float your way across the sand :light::light::light:

The spike strip manufacturers may have to go back to the drawing board.

Waiting

BeemerDan - 11-20-2013 at 05:33 PM

I think I'll wait till the cheaper retread version comes out

vgabndo - 11-20-2013 at 06:15 PM

Correct Cortez, I WAS thinking Arctic Cat. Both Kawasaki and Suzuki parts in some of them.

Anyone have any specific warnings about a used Kawasaki Prairie 400 or a 650 V-twin?

Mtogoat666 you are right, We have this type on our bobcat, loaders.
they hate soft dirt and sand! also are a hard ride. But no flats!
