After reading Bill Erhardt's and Mag Bay Outfitters reports for the last couple of years we knew we had to make a trip. My wife and I stayed 5 days in
Mulas new casita, and fished 2 days with Sergio Garcia.
Lopez Mateo is a nice quiet town at this time of year. I would think it is really hopping during the whale watching season.
The first day with Sergio we had nice weather, never got wet.
We put 5 wahoo and a nice tuna in the boat. The tuna really worked Meg over, she was all used up.
We skipped a day to rest and look around.
Second day we knew would be worse weather wise but went anyway. We were all 3 soaked after 10 miles, only 25 or so more to go.
It was much better where we were fishing and we slowly dried out as we started pulling in fish. Got 4 more that day with the big one going 60 pounds
or so. That was a long, hard day, almost 11 hours in the boat.
I would do it again in an instant. Sergio and everyone were great to be around.

Great catches! The Garcia's are among the best panga captains in Baja.

This was our lunch: wahoo cooked to perfection by Les, accompanied by broccoli and frijoles. The drink is an apple beer called Redds that originated
in Poland. It can now be found in regular supermarkets in the States and I recommend it....
Whien we were in Poland years ago, I called the company to see if I could be their rep in the States or Mexico since I took such a liking to it. At
the time they were not interested. Now it is making a splash all over the place.
