Nomads,
Have not been on much since getting back from our month long October Baja trip. During our time in Loreto Bonnie collected another starving
dog...looked like an Auschwitz dog rather than a Baja dog. " Rosie" , some kind of pit-? mix came through OK after a month of care, a vet visit or
three, and descent diet. We already have two other Baja rescue mutts and two street pups from up here so at 5 dawgs we were pushing it a bit. Today
Rosie went to a new home. We kept her here until we knew she was healthy, she had a great time with our other canine scoundrels, but a new home was
best. So another Baja rescue is complete.

I took the Doberman (Kendra) that was left behind by a former tenant across the border on Thursday. I was met by Renee from Woof Pet Rescue in
Huntington Beach, who was taking her to a Doberman Rescue there. She was spayed for free, and Renee reimbursed me for her shots, so another dog out of
Tijuana.

Good work Ed! Baja dogs have a pretty bleak life, and need all the help they can get. It's hard to ignore the animal suffering witnessed in most of
Baja. It's good to know most Nomads and others help however they can.

Hi all, great to hear ya all do this for sure.. I had 4 with me, and was tempted a few times... on that note, my pal Alex has started
600Milliondogs.org and I've been working hard with him on this project, we are developing a spay treat for female dogs ( then female cats, then male
dogs, then male cats) so that you can toss a treat to a street stray and once she eats it, she won't have more puppies !!! We need all the help we can
get, so please visit the site, pass along the site and do what you can, I really hate seeing all the street strays, it breaks my heart ! I traveled
about 2,500mi over 20 days just at start of this last Baja 1000, went to Loreto twice and man lots of unfixed dogs limping around baja ;(

Rene, that is a great idea. Too much suffering and at least that will stop the progression.
