I love these birds. Not every bird can go through life wearing a toupee and pull it off so well.

WOW!!! Thanks.

Love these pix of my favorite Baja bird (if there can be such a distinction).
Beautiful detailed close-ups, Oly. Thanks.

They're not seen this far north as Mulege, so it's always fun to spot these guys when we head south.

I've always thought they're so exotically grand-- and then Paulina goes and points out they're really just chickens wearing a cheap rug. Thanks, girlfriend!

I can see why these are your favorite Baja bird Oly.

A toupee....now that's funny

Chris - This bird is the main reason I purchased your book from you Sunday at the Los Barriles Holiday art festival. Mi esposa and I drive down highway 1 and see these birds all the time and ask each other "what is that?". Now we know. A pollo with a bad rug. Thanks Paulina....
A friend wants a hardback copy - are they available in Los Barriles?
Also, I have been informed that I should have gotten my copy signed. Can do?
An excellent book - there are a lot of birds in Baja, eh?
