HO..HO...HO...Let's hear about your primary care physician and why you want to wish him/her Feliz Navidad!!!

EnsenadaDr - 12-9-2013 at 08:30 AM

I know some of you have your favorite Docs that you can call on or run to with any medical problem during the year. Yet, what makes YOUR doctor in Mexico stand out from the rest? Is it caring, compassion, knowledge or just knowing your problem will be handled well? Let's know who your Baja Doc is, where he/she is located, and why you want to ring your Jingle Bells and give them a shout out and wish them a very Happy "Feliz Navidad!!, te quiero Doc!!"

Feliz NavidadTo Dr. Gustova Morales of Constitution.!!

In 1992 my Wife bewcame sick in Loreto with Much pain. I was given a letter by the clinic introducing me to the General hospital in constituion.

On arriving there they started checking her out and when the Blood Work came back told me she needed an Operation. I said that maybe I should take her to La paz.

Dr. Morales looked me in the eye and said"She only has about 4 hours to Love" she has Perainitis
It was Sunday and they operated rith then,
A week later my wife was released . The Bill was $61 Dollars.

They saved her Life! Later we became involved with the Doctors and Hospital Learning that all the General Hospitals in much of Mexico are headed by a 32 Degree Mason!

He is in my Prayers Often.

Dr. Marco A. Molina Collins, Ensenada. We go back a long way. He's probably retired by now as is Dr. Quintero an ophthalmologist surgeon. Time flies when you're having fun.

CortezBlue - 12-9-2013 at 02:30 PM

Are you a Dr. or did you stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night?

Pompano - 12-9-2013 at 02:30 PM

I'm trying to think.....there's been a few. Eyebrow re-attachment, appendectomy, molar surgery, fingertip sewed back on, sting ray treatment, knife wound in leg, stomach bugs, broken heart (three times), etc...

edit to add:

Almost forgot.....FELIZ NAVIDAD TO ALL OF YOU!

I just had my tooth pulled a couple of hours ago (12:30). Oww.... Feliz Navidad!

Dang. Hate losing the old ones like that.

What does freemasonry have to do with hospitals in Mexico? Just curious.

Not my primary doctor, but worth a Feliz, none-the-less!

DR. Abraham Vasquez, Camp Gecko, Bahía de los Ángeles.

He has always been helpful and José at Mission San Borja had kind words for him, also... So, he has been around the region when he was the area doctor.

I don't know what a primary care giver is. We have a doctor in this little village, Dr. Ruffino Colins-Monroy. He is not connected to the Casa de Salud or social medicine systems in this area. He has been my doctor for 18 years and I can tell you I love him but do not envy his position. The village is poor, we have a clinic but many won't use it because they have little confidence in the student/doctors from Mexico who serve there to pay for their education.

Dr. Colins has the unenviable Hobbson's Choices from dawn till dusk: his clients may have money for him but not for the medicine he proscribes. His exams indicate they must travel to the city for tests of all kinds that they have no funds to pay for. Many can't even get to the place where the studies can be done.

In emergencies he arranges for ambulances, rides with the imperiled to the closest facility with the least cost and the (maybe) best equipment/specialists for whatever is threatening his friend/patient.

Rich gringos here have learned his plight from me and others and now supply him with medical supplies and equipment for his small office to help the needy in a small but special way.

Bravo Ruffino! You're a helluva man. One of God's purest angels.

jueso:

In mexico there is a Shriners hospital for Children. Masonry is very strong amongh the Doctors. It was reported to me by Dr. Hibiff in Constution that most all of the General Hospitals in Mexico have as the Director a 32 Degree Mason.
While living in Loreto I would go over to Insugenes to Lodge. Also in the last 7 years in the constitution there were several new Lodges started in that area.
If you go back into the history you will find that Benito Juraez was a Mason had a lot to do with the Revolution that took the Churches out of the Govt.

At the present time a Shriners Hospital is being built in TJ.

I thought that was built, Skeet. You drive right by it on your way to the Otay ready lane. [ maybe that's a different facility]

In our town we have Dr. Romero. Like Osprey's doc, he treats patients whether they can pay or not. He has come to our home when Les was unable to walk due to back pain. He is one heckofaguy and we are lucky to have him.

Good thread doc!

EnsenadaDr - 12-11-2013 at 09:23 PM

My favorite Doctor in Baja, primary care and specialist, is Dr. Raymundo Esquer in Maneadero, Ensenada Municipality. He might be flamboyant, flashy, sometimes talks borderline trashy (all in good fun of course) but he always teaches me something when I stop by to say Hello. He is a very sweet man, and very knowledgeable. Te quiero, Doc!! Y prospero Ano!!! The tilde still eludes me on this keyboard!! Anyway Happy new year!!

Many keyboards/systems are different: my ñ is Alt 0241

CortezBlue - 12-12-2013 at 10:30 AM

My Dr., in USA, is a greedy SOB that only wants to throw as many scripts at you as is possible. He also wants me to come in quarterly for my controled High Blood Pressure,

Bah Humbug

Thanks Dennis. I needed that.

Osprey - 12-12-2013 at 11:06 AM

Dennis, some of you might be working with outdated equipment/systems. The number I showed is from my new PMX Cyberhorse Supracloud Hanging Mundofi machine that jumps over The Windows Concept.

It works to a domain site that is for sale, ie. dead as far as info on codes goes. Dah-veed posted a different link afterwords when even HE discovered it was a bad link!
